Weekend in the Mountains

A weekend in the mountains is always a good idea! A few weeks ago, some friends and I thought that it had been too long since our last adventure, so we headed out to the Canmore area! I shared the first day of our short getaway featuring my favourite fuzzy coat, plaid scarf, and winter boots last week. This week I’m posting day 2.

Sunday was chiller than the previous day, so I pulled out my Canada Goose to take the chill off. These coats are super pricey, but they definitely live up to the hype. They really are as warm as they claim to be!

I wanted to make sure I was getting the warmest option when I was purchasing my CG. I went with the second highest level of warmth that the brand makes. Any higher, and I would have to have bought the Arctic explorer coat that’s actually a onesie. I’m not going to lie and say I wouldn’t wear that. This time though, I thought a more traditional coat was probably a better option!

Yet again you can find me in the black jeans I wear all the time, and my new black boots from Steve Madden! A good pair of black boots is a must when the fall hits. I had been putting off getting a new pair for way too long. Thank goodness I caved because these go with everything!

We headed to Rocky Mountain Bagel Cafe for our morning pick me up. I’m telling you, these are the best bagels I have ever had. Trust me when I say I’ve eaten a few… or more than a few. It’s definitely a must if you’re ever planning to head to the beautiful town of Canmore!

Like I mentioned in this Instagram post, the Rockies are seriously the only place I have ever been to that makes me forget about the cold. I’m so busy staring at the mountains that I forget I’m standing in a foot of snow.
