Simons Ballcap (old, similar here) | Topshop Sweater via Hudson’s Bay | American Eagle Jeans | Gucci Belt | Thrifted Bag via Value Village | Steve Madden Boots | Groovestone Earrings
Plaids and tweeds are so quintessentially fall that they put me into a fall mood even when there’s 10 cm of snow on the ground. It’s pretty safe to say that fall is all but OVER in Edmonton. We can usually count on a good 3 weeks of fall before the snow comes and this year was no exception.
I’m sad to see the fall go but I’m bringing it back with this hat and my new tweed coat. I’m definitely going to be adding more to my closet in the future (when I actually have a clothing budget again.. like this cute workwear dress, this layerable jacket, and these amazing sneakers. GIVE ME ALL THE TWEED! It’s definitely the best pattern for fall!
As much as I love workwear (I actually think it’s my favourite!), I hate that you can’t wear hats. Like, I get it, I really do. But sometimes a hat just makes an outfit. So to not have the option is, in my opinion, the worst part of dressing for the office. So while I’m off work this year, I’ve been wearing hats non-stop! I have to get in all the hat wearing I possibly can! This Ichi cap from Simons was one of my favourite back to school buys. It screams fall, but covers the second (or third) day hair before a midterm and looks cute while doing it.
This sweater was an old buy from Topshop. It’s still one of my go-to chunky knits for fall and winter. I did a Ways to Wear series on it last year with 3 different looks, all on the casual side, of but with loads of ways to wear the sweater, like with jeans, layered over a dress, and slightly more dressed up.
What is the best pattern for fall in your opinion? Let me know in the comments!
xx Victoria
