We might not be wearing a black silk slip skirt at home, but when we finally are able to leave our houses, this baby will definitely be in my first workwear OOTD! I’m sharing my thoughts on the silk slip skirt trend & why I think it’s here to stay.

Okay, so I know no one in their right mind is quarantining at home in a silk slip skirt, but one can dream right?! I know my athleisure has been getting a real workout lately, but I’m just over here trying to bring back some normalcy into my own life. If it brings back some into yours too, that’s a win!
I snagged this skirt on my trip last year to Australia. I actually wore my friend’s out to dinner and was so obsessed with it, I had to get one for myself. Australia really does have the best fashion. If I had had more room in my suitcase, you can bet I would have come home with more! It was a while ago, but I made an IGTV with all my buys last summer (and it features the skirt) if you want to take a peak at all the goodies.

Since I graduated and started my full time job last October, I’ve really had to become creative with my workwear outfits. It’s so much harder than I thought it would be to be creative with my outfits. Often it’s just a top and a bottom. Given it’s me, those tops and bottoms usually aren’t boring, but there’s not much for layering or that kind of thing.
So on that note, it’s my mission to get interesting workwear pieces so even though I can’t say, carry a chic purse, I’m still showcasing my style!

Even though the silk slip skirt is relatively new on our radar, I really think it’s here to stay. It looks so chic with minimal effort, and the amount of ways you can style it are pretty endless. They’re perfect for work or the weekend. Heck, the first time I wore it I was on my way to a club!
What are you doing to keep yourself sane during the quarantine?! I’m doing a lot of reading, working and checking off things from my to-do list!
xx Victoria
