I love a good pair of PJs since I’m the type that gets cold in an instant. My house is always freezing, and couple that with the fact that it’s freezing outside most of the year too, I pretty much wear thick pyjamas all year round. When the pyjama inspired trend started I was hesitant; I thought some pieces were super cute, and others looked WAY too much like actual sleepwear.
This Aritzia top is the happy medium! It’s PJ inspired without looking like I just rolled out of bed. The fabric is so nice, I honestly feel so luxe in it. I can’t put my finger on what it is exactly, but it’s the kind of top that feels like designer, but at a lower price point (not exactly a low price point, but that’s another issue LOL). It fits a little oversized so I’m wearing a size small (usually go for small in tops at Aritzia, like this one) but it’s still a tad long on the arms and the shoulders. If you’re between sizes, size down!
Back in October, my friend and I made the drive down to Calgary for a weekend visiting our other friend who now lives in the city. I used to live in Calgary when I was really young, but don’t go down a ton anymore other than for work a couple times. They have such a nice downtown with some of the yummiest food stops like Alforno. I had been here before for a coffee, but never stopped for food. After this weekend, I will definitely be back for both! We tried a few sandwiches, the eggs benedict and lots of coffee, all worth the stop!
It was way nicer in Calgary back in October than any weather we’re going to get nowadays, but I guess that’s winter for you. And we’ve got about 6 months left of it so we might as well get used to it!
