Is it just me or with the rise of two piece matching sets, suits are back in the game?! I LOVE a matching set and suits are no exception. I have a pinstripe set/suit from Aritzia with trouser bottoms, a button down and a longline coat and I have been wearing them a ton this past year.
Suits are so versatile because you can wear them together or separately and they look incredible both ways. Plus, they’re so easy to throw on when you’re having an Oh Sh*t fashion moment!
H&M had a recent collaboration with J Baker and the pieces are so nice, I had to control myself from buying a lot more.
It’s pretty known around here how much I love a good floral print (Helloooo new shower curtain!) so this top, these pants and this skirt were also in my hands before I had to narrow my purchases down to stay on budget. All the pieces are perfect for work too which made things even harder to put down. We all know how hard it is to find cute af stuff that’s also work appropriate.
In the end, I couldn’t resist this sweet patterned power suit. I’m really aiming to add more prints and interesting pieces into my wardrobe because I usually opt for solids in neutral colours for versatility’s sake. What I’ve come to realize is that a lot of more interesting pieces are also super versatile if you have some key pieces in your closet.
I shared my fall shopping list here, and a bunch of those pieces are easily paired with these trousers like this off the shoulder sweater, or even an easy white tee with a few necklaces. On the other side of things, a patterned blazer is easy to pair into fall with straight leg jeans and a graphic tee or with trousers for work.

Before the summer was over, my friend and I wanted to go to the University of Alberta Botanic Gardens to check out the new Aga Khan Garden. At that point the forest fire smoke had pretty much taken over the planet (it felt like it anyways), so being outside for so long was a bit too much for us.
It’s such a pretty spot to check out and they have so many fun activities available for sign ups. The next time I go I’ll be bringing a picnic for sure!
