While everyone else is enjoying their warmer temperatures, Edmonton has been hit with the grossest spring weather I can remember. It seems that we really don’t get spring until almost the end of April. Even then it’s for about a week before we all turn into full on summer mode! Similar to fall, spring really doesn’t last long enough when you’ve got at least half a year covered in snow.

I refused to pull out my super warm winter jacket after I had already put it away for the year, apparently super prematurely (we’re getting -17 degree lows this week!). Instead, I opted for my new duster jacket from Aritzia and tights to keep me “warm”. Duster jackets are the perfect addition to your closet for the spring. They add a light layer for those chilly days. But, you don’t have to look ridiculous wearing your parka and having the jacket peak out the bottom!

I had bought a this pair of pinstripe pants a while ago and wore them all throughout summer, so when Aritzia came out with this duster to match the pants I already had in my closet.. it was a must. After a little deliberation because it was a bit pricey, I picked it up. A few days later thought I returned it after I found it being sold secondhand! Shopping second hand is so much fun. You can find great pieces that no one else will have AND score current pieces at super cheap prices!

As much as this pinstripe duster jacket was a bit of an investment, I have already worn it a ton both on the weekends and to the office. Versatility is always key #amiright?!
