Two weeks ago at the end of Lady Skyline‘s visit to Europe, we decided to take the plunge and head to Paris for a few days. Neither of us had ever been, but knew it was a place we needed to visit. We were only there Sunday – Tuesday, so there was a lot to fit into our short time.
Day one was spent walking through our neighbourhood taking in our little part of Paris. I did the same in Copenhagen when I first arrived and it’s the perfect way to get aquatinted with the area. We spotted the cutest bakery on the corner of our street. The smell brought us in for a pastry, but we also left with a baguette for dinner! It was so rainy this trip that we couldn’t take our bread and cheese to the Seine for a picnic. But, after how gorgeous Paris was, I know I’ll be back to do that sometime soon!

I left my sweatshirt behind in Edmonton when I moved to Copenhagen. I knew I would buy a new one here. 2 months in though, and I was still hoodie-less. When I saw this sweatshirt dress in the window I knew it was perfect for me. I’m not really one to wear hoodies outside of my house. But, having something cozy that still looked chic enough to wear in Paris was the perfect investment, especially for less than $30!
Traveling in Europe is a completely different experience than traveling in North America; you can be in a new country in an hour and still have a full day there. Having a dress that translates perfectly from comfy travel wear to chic Paris day 1 outfit was perfect for my small luggage requirements. I added my faux fur jacket, which has come with me everywhere, to keep me warm on my first night in Paris!
Do you have a perfect travel outfit? Let me know in the comments!
