When I think of Paris, I imagine blue skies, dreamy architecture, and couples strolling hand in hand. My experience only had 1 of the 3 and it was still incredible. Paris has always been on my list of must see places; I’d heard quite a few negative things about it before I booked, but my experience was nothing but positive, even despite the torrential downpour that was the three days I was there. Packing for Paris was probably one of the easiest weekend packing experiences I have had thus far on my exchange. I knew a dress for my one full day there was mandatory, I mean, how could I go to this amazing city and look mediocre? Not on my watch. I saw this ruffled dress on a blog months ago but it was completely sold out. I have been on a serious ruffle kick recently (I just added this dress to my collection) and when I saw that ruffles were coupled with floral print, it was a no brainer. When I saw that it went back into stock a few months later I made sure to scoop it up ASAP. It turned out to be the perfect Parisian dress for my short getaway!
Because the weather wasn’t kind enough to be nice while I was in Paris, I paired my dress with black tights and my favourite fur coat. This jacket has been on constant repeat on the blog here, here, here, and here, but is sadly sold out at Zara; I’ve found a few relatively similar styles here and here.
I also brought out my new loafers for the first time. I’m trying to stick to buying things that I can wear in an office setting next year while I’m at work and these shoes are perfect for transitioning from work to play. Plus, they’re so comfy, I was able to walk all day in them!
