On one of my recent Instagram posts, I mentioned that polka dots were going to be my print of the summer, and you better believe that I’m following through! As much as I love a good floral pattern, I can’t ignore the absolute PULL I have been having towards polka dots. They were completely off my radar for a few years because I felt like they looked so old school. Now, I’ve found that if you wear polka dots in modern silhouettes, you really can’t go wrong!
I saw this dress first on another blogger and knew I had to have it the moment I saw the sleeves. They’re the perfect fun addition to this basic dress. I mean, how can you go wrong with a fun sleeve? I have a top with the most amazing sleeves from last year, and ever since then, I’ve been super keen to find new pieces with similar features.
This dress is a favourite of mine because not only have I worn it like I have here, but I also dressed it up and wore it to my office Christmas Party last year. Just throw on a pair of tights and you’ve got yourself a winter party dress!
Versatility is something I have been looking for more and more over the years as I realize I don’t have an endless supply of money or closet space. Of course, I did use my shopping tips when I bought this and have cleaned out my closet recently by decluttering, but there’s still that little voice in the back of my head reminding myself that I should already be able to envision 3 outfits with every piece I get. Hell, the minute I snagged this I had 5 already planned out!
