By this point, I think we should all be well aware how much I love a good matching set. Whether that be an AMAZING patterned suit or matching separates, if it matches, you can count me IN! Matching pieces have been all the rage lately and for good reason, they’re so easy to style and they look chic AF; wear the pieces together or separate for double the outfits. I’ve been seeing the cutest sets around like this suit first seen on Wanna Be Fashion Blogger and a cute gingham set I saw on With Love, Summer. I seriously can’t get enough! Not only do I have this pattern in these pants and top, but I ALSO have it in a longline coat that I showed you in the spring!
These pants have been a staple in my closet for a long time. I bought them a few years ago and I wear them constantly casually (like here and here) and to work. They do fit really small in the waist so make sure to size up one to two sizes. I usually have to size up in pants for my thighs (I like to think they’re thicc and not thick LOL), but for this pair, I had to size up for my waist! For my body, I do have a relatively small waist, but the 2 extra sizes were still necessary for me.
I looked long and hard for this top because when I bought it, it was sold out at Aritzia stores and online. I ended up snagging it second hand, but I compromised on size in the process. This one is an XS and although it does run oversize, it doesn’t run THAT oversized. I would say size down, but don’t go two sizes down like I did. Not going to lie, this shirt wouldn’t have been on my list if I hadn’t wanted to match the pants. I don’t love the wide shoulder part and as a gal with some serious hips, the bottom is quite snug. That being said, I did buy it too small so I’ll make sure to keep you all updated if I ever do find the infamous smalls and mediums that I know are out there!
As a gal that will be spending the next few years in a #workwear setting, finding office appropriate pieces is a priority when I shop now. I love that matching sets let you be office appropriate while still allowing your personal style to shine through. I can’t tell you how many times people tell me that office wear is so boring. I’m here to 100% DISAGREE!!!! I think there are SO many ways to make workwear chic AF while still being classy AF. I have a workwear section on the blog where I share a bunch of looks that I actually do wear to the office and I’m posting more all the time. My favourite pieces are ones that make the cut for work AND the weekend. Now those are getting the cost per wear formula low!!
Are you into the matching separates trend? Let me know in the comments!

I’m a sucker for stripes! This will be a great piece to wear throughout fall + winter, especially with layers.
