Even though I still find lipstick somewhat difficult to wear sometimes, I love it. I think it can add so much dimension to a look that I usually give in and wear it when I remember to. My bathroom counter is so full that I have to keep my lipsticks in my huge makeup case under my sink. For this reason, they tend to be forgotten when I’m quickly getting ready in the morning. When I do remember though, I always think about how I should start wearing it more!

I have built up what I think is a small army of lipsticks, even though it’s miniscule when looking at others’ collections.

Today, I am going to start with the MAC Matte Lipstick. I own four right now, and will soon own more because of how much I love them. These were always my favourite lip colours but more recently I noticed a lot of flaking and drying of my lips when I wear them. This was almost completely fixed by my lip primer from MAC, although I still want to try a lip scrub and see if that will end my lip woos!

Ruby Woo

This was the first lipstick I ever got and I still love this color red. It’s bright without being weak, but not too dark either. I wear it with this lip liner from Sephora, but I might have to switch to a MAC one. The color just isn’t perfect. Overall, this is my favourite MAC Matte Lipstick or lipstick in general for that matter!

 

Candy Yum Yum

I love wearing this bright pink hue with a muted look. I wore it in this post with this black striped off the shoulder dress and I love how the look turned out. The colour is very bright, but don’t let that deter you from trying it out! I love trying out new colours because it can add such a fun element to any look!

 

Sin

This one is a dark burgundy almost, but it looks a little more brown to me. I was hesitant at first; I thought it was very dark for my skin tone. After putting it on again a few times, I have grown to like the colour. After my MAC makeup lesson, I know what to do to ensure this colour looks great! I use the Pro Longwear lip liner in Dark Out to make sure this colour doesn’t go anywhere!

Flat Out Fabulous

This is the perfect bold color that is not too purple. I thought it was a dark pink when I bought it, but it turned out to be more purple, especially when I use my MAC ____ lipliner. It’s perfect to wear with grey and blue hues.
