Topshop Leopard Belt via Nordstrom | Aritzia Turtleneck | All Saints Leather Jacket (last seen here and here) | American Eagle Jeans | Steve Madden Boots (old, similar here) | Marc by Marc Jacobs Bag (old, similar here)
For so long I thought leopard was what moms wore when they were trying to be “hip” (think Regina’s mom from Mean Girls…). But when I saw all the ways women were wearing it, I knew I had to get in on the print. I definitely started small, but from here I have so much room to grow, and I love that I chose such a versatile piece at the beginning.
When I was in Vancouver applying for my Visa for Copenhagen, I headed into Nordstrom to check out what they had. Edmonton doesn’t have a Nordstrom store, and I refuse to pay for duties when I could go to Calgary and shop there (and get a vacay out of it). I was pumped to head into the massive store and see what they had. To be honest, I was super overwhelmed. I was in my element, clothes and shoes everywhere from so many amazing designers, but I had also just spent way too much money going to Vancouver to justify blowing some more on the next Marc Jacobs that I needed in my life. Sadly, I left the store the first day with nothing.
Flashforward a day, I realized the leopard belt that I had been eyeing from Courtney Shield’s Instagram was from Nordstrom! It definitely didn’t take long for me to run back in there and buy the belt (maybe a little bit too quickly LOL).
I made sure to buy the belt in the smallest size that would fit me because this way I could wear it with jeans or cinch my waist with a dress; versatility is key my friends.
Have you hopped on the leopard trend?
