I swear the days after your birthday are the worst days of the year (well, other than that time in 2017 that we got snow in August; that was a pretty bad day). This year though, I had such a fun birthday that the day after wasn’t all that bad! My sister and friend surprised me with brunch at Edmonton’s own rotating restaurant, followed by some shopping (where I picked up this wallet as a little birthday gift to myself!) and then headed around town some more with a few stops for even more food! If that’s not a good day, then I really don’t know what is!

This is my very first time debuting my brand new (to me), Gucci belt on the blog! To say I saved a while for this baby is a huge understatement. I quite literally saved all my lunch money and managed to snag a used belt on Ebay for half off the regular price! As a chick with expensive taste, but not so much the funds to match, there was a lot of back and forth as to whether or not I should really be spending that kinda cash on a belt.. but after months and months of saving, I knew I wouldn’t break the bank, so I jumped at the chance! I’m definitely not blind to the fact that this was an exuberant purchase, so I’ve rounded up a few of my favourite statement belts at fractions of the price, like this gold one, this snake one, and the prettiest pastel one here.

If you’ve been following the blog, you know that my love for trousers developed while I was on my exchange semester in Copenhagen, and flourished even more when I got back. I spend my weekdays in workwear (hello accounting life!), so it’s a true testament that I want to wear my trousers on the weekend too! I shared Babaton pair from Aritzia back in the summer, and more recently, I was able to snag a matching jacket as well. I adore a good suit and this combo is one for the books!

So, even though my birthday is officially wrapped, I could not be more in LOVE with my birthday outfit, and you can bet I’ll be strolling around town in it all summer long!
