Zara Dress (old, similar here and here) | Blank NYC Jacket | Franco Sarto Loafers | Kate Spade Sunglasses | Camelia Roma Bag
We all know I LOVE a good floral pattern. It really can’t be beat – it looks classy and elegant but is still straight fashion. Now, you can definitely pick a bad floral print, but usually they’re pretty nice. My biggest tip when picking a floral pattern: the more real looking, the better. And for the most part, opt out of roses. They tend to look a little worse for wear.
Let’s be honest, florals for spring is not new per say. Actually, it’s probably the most recognizable fashion “rule” other than the classic, no white after labour day (which is FALSE btw). BUT in saying that, in this case, it’s popular because it WORKS! A floral pattern for spring is the perfect way to bring you into the season!
I snagged this dress from Zara a while back and shared it originally in this blog post. But since then, I’ve done some dress remodelling and trimmed the hemline. Although I loved the original, it felt a little too grandma for my taste if you know what I mean. It definitely had a specific vibe that I wasn’t into a lot of the time. I’m hoping the shorter hemline will have me reaching for it more this year!
Dresses are the easiest things to just throw on and go. I really need to start wearing them more in these warmer months. I was doing better at reaching for them last year, but this is the year of dresses for me. I can FEEL it!
