I’ve been a workwear QWEEN over here since I started back at my job in the beginning of October. My office now has a “dress for your workday” dress code, so that means a lot more jeans and casual office looks, but I will NEVER give up my trousers. Not if I have anything to do with it!

Since starting work though, I’ve realized just how hard it is to wake up at 6:00 am every day. I knew it wouldn’t be great since I haven’t worked in so long, but I was hoping for an easier transition! Either way, these days, if I don’t pick an outfit the night before, I NEED an easy, go-to look for the day. These days, that has 100% been monochrome.
You really can’t go wrong with a monochrome outfit. They look so chic while honestly being the easiest thing to put together. You have your classic navy, black and white monochrome, but if you want to be a bit more bold, pick a colour! Green, pink or red outfits are chic as HECK and although they probably sound a little intimidating, if you add in subtle some shades, it’s not that far off your usual.
I picked out this green H&M sweater a few weeks ago and have been loving the fit. I’m not a huge fan of dropped shoulder sweaters because I feel like they add unnecessary bulk, and this sweater doesn’t have a shoulder at all! The piece flows so nicely over your shoulder and down your arm. I don’t know if that fully makes sense, but if it did hit home, WINNING!
In an effort to wear more secondhand and sustainable things, this sweater is from the H&M Conscious line, the pants are secondhand and the bags thrifted. Now that’s a good outfit!
