Vero Moda Plaid Coat via Hudson’s Bay (Under $100!) | Levi’s High Rise Skinny Jeans | Aritzia Turtleneck | Hunter Rain Boots | Camelia Roma Bag | Duval Chain Bag Strap
Outerwear is one of my favourite things because I have to wear it for so much of the year. Living in Edmonton, a coat is pretty much a requirement from October to April. So, in the past few years, I’ve upped my coat game.
I’ve tried to really invest in some quality pieces that will last me more than a few winters. I have a tendency to gravitate towards faux fur coats and leather, but plaid is coming in hot to my wardrobe. I definitely want to bring that tendency into my outerwear collection too.
This Vero Moda beauty isn’t the only one I’ve been eyeing… I found this AMAZING tailored plaid coat (under $100!) and this trench style plaid coat (under $55!). Both of which have unfortunately for this month’s budget, been added to my shopping cart. This particular coat fits true to size (I’m wearing a Medium!) and can fit a thick long sleeve underneath no problem.
I’m a girl who loves her trousers and hates… make that HATES shopping for jeans. But, I’m surprised how much I actually like this pair by Levi’s. They’re comfy, cute, and I don’t spill out of the rips like I normally do with tight pants. If you have thick thighs you know exactly what I’m talking about LOL.
My all-time fave pair of jeans from American Eagle ripped between the thighs (another thick thigh prob) *sobs*. So it was time to snag another similar one. Levi’s fits true to size in this pair because they’re stretchy so I went with my normal size of 29! I’m still on the hunt for a super blue pair without rips so I can wear them to the office on Friday’s, but that sounds like a next year problem!
