Exploring Edmonton

Edmonton is such an amazing city that I really feel gets a lot less credit than it deserves. It has such a friendly culture and amazing food scene that I know I haven’t been taking full advantage of. With my time off before I start work, I’ve been trying to head around town and try out cool new places that I haven’t before. Plus, who doesn’t love dressing up for a new cafe?!

A few friends and I decided to head to Little Brick in the Flats of Edmonton after a ton of recommendations. This cafe is in the cutest brick (obviously!) house in the middle of a gorgeous neighbourhood. I was so impressed with the pretty outdoor spaces filled with picnic tables and flowers. Plus, inside has the cafe itself and a few shelves filled with products about YEG and made in YEG. I love to support local so finding a cute place that does too was an added bonus!

I have been adoring the bandannas popping up everywhere lately. In Copenhagen, I wore a bandanna tied around my neck more times than not, and I really wanted to bring the trend back to Edmonton. I have been wearing them on my wrist, neck, bag.. pretty much every possible way I can! They add such a subtle but fun element to every look that I am able to add it to almost every outfit I wear!

My favourite joggers came out for another day (last seen here and here) as well as this gingham button down from last summer (last seen here and here). With the start of my internship, I am in desperate need of some more button downs and work wear. If you have any recommendations please share them with me in the comments!
