Edmonton is full of gorgeous river valley; it has the largest urban park in the entire country! Seems to me like the perfect place to lace up my new runners and change up my evening by going on a little hike 10 minutes away from my house! I will 100% admit that I do not take advantage of the gorgeous trails that we have. This year I am determined to change that!
I’d been wearing the same pair of sneakers for so long. It was starting to be embarrassing with how nasty the looked. So, when my mom bought me a new pair of sneakers for my birthday, it gave me the jolt I needed to try and be more active! This style is the Nike Free RN and I love how lightweight they are. They fit true to size (I got a 9.5), and are perfect for outdoor activities or the gym. The toe is a little more rounded than I thought I would like, but I don’t notice after I put them on!

Lululemon is always a go-to when it comes to work out gear. Although expensive, I find most of their pieces worth the price. I don’t love their leggings (Victoria’s Secret is has my favourite pair!), but their other pants are what I find worth the high price tag. They fit super well and honestly, I can’t seem to find anything like them anywhere else! Cute workout gear always gets me motivated to work out more, is that just me? But also the warm weather. The winters in Edmonton kill my vibe to get healthy because I don’t love the gym and it’s not likely I’m going to go outside when it’s -20 degrees.
My favourite spot for river valley walks in Edmonton is the spot just beside Snow Valley. It has tons of trails that separate into a few different places. Plus it always seem to be just busy enough that you’re not scared (I listen to a LOT of murder podcasts LOL), but empty enough that you’re not competing for trail room. And of course, it has the prettiest lookouts of the valley!
