Last week was one of my best friends birthdays, so a bunch of friends and I headed out all dolled up to Cafe Amore to celebrate. I am not exaggerating when I say that this was the best pasta I have had in Edmonton. It was incredible!

I decided on this blue and white floral dress super last minute when I was getting ready. Originally, I bought it for a gala the Business school has every January. After that, I wore it to my cousins bridal shower and now to this birthday party. It is so versatile that it’s easy to pair with just about anything and look smokin’ while you’re at it! For the winter gala, I paired it with black booties, black tights, and a purple lip. At the bridal shower, I wore my lace up black heels (last seen here), and neutral makeup with a smokey eye. For this occasion, I opted for my new nude heels, my DUVAL Canada choker, and my old bow cross body. It ended up pairing perfectly with my floral dress!

I have to say, long sleeved dresses, or ones with some sort of sleeve are one of my favourite styles. I love the look of a high neck and long sleeve while keeping it flirty on the bottom. Although I am definitely one to wear full pants and a crop top versus shorts and a long sleeve, but something about this style of dress just clicks!

The choker is one of my more recent purchases (last seen in this Instagram picture) and I am still loving it. I have been buying jewelry left and right lately. I never was one to purchase a ton of statement pieces or other jewelry at all, never fully believed that the accessories made the outfit… until now! There is a huge difference between a look with the appropriate accessories and one that was thrown together without much thought for the jewelry, shoes and bag. Now, thankfully, I have learned the error of my ways and have invested in some new pieces. As well as my shoe collection has been expanding with strappy heels, which I am so pumped to wear!

I can tell you that when I do a post about the best spots around town, Cafe Amore will be front and centre for the pasta portion! I had the 4 cheese pasta and I highly recommend it.
