Once I find something I like, I wear the heck out of it! This little trick is something I picked up a few weeks ago and honestly I can’t. stop. wearing it. Keep reading to find out how I spruce up my winter outfits!

Okay, I’m honestly thinking this is my favourite trick I’ve ever thought up. It’s BEYOND easy and in my opinion, looks so chic that it’s become an outfit staple for me.
It’s as easy as putting on a belt.
I have a few pairs of trousers (this one, which I have in 3 colours) that came with a belt. I go through phases of wearing the belt every time I wear the pants, and then not touching it for months. But then I was heading out on one of the coldest days of the year, and it was just too cold to wear my favourite faux fur jacket open.
Cue the belt.
In this case, I wore the Jallade trousers in bone (last seen here), but opted for the belt in black (which matches these pants). I posted on my instagram stories if you all thought I should go for the black or bone, and black came out a winner. But, I wouldn’t hesitate to do the contrasting light coloured one!
More recently, I shared another variation of this look, but with striped trousers and a striped belt. The belt was originally paired with my favourite duster jacket, but I couldn’t stop with this trick, so I took the pants and belt with me to NYC. Dang I liked the results!
I’ll be wearing this until spring hits, and then I’ll probably find a new way to do the same thing in slightly warmer temps. Who’s excited?! ME!!
