Aritizia Laboratoire Coat (old, similar here) | Costco Vest (similar here) | Aritzia Turtleneck | American Eagle Jeans | Steve Madden Boots | Earrings (bought in Poland, similar here) | Street Level Bag
To say I’ve wanted this Laboratoire coat for a while is an understatement! It was sold at Aritzia 2 years ago and hasn’t come back since, so I’ve been searching high and low at secondhand stores and secondhand sites for years, finally getting my hands on one from a local Facebook group. I have the vest version in both black and cream and seriously wear them to death; I can’t wait to style this one all winter long and because of the light hue, into spring and chilly summer nights too! So obviously this coat isn’t available in stores anymore, but I was able to find a few similar ones here and here.

Living in Edmonton comes with it’s challenges, namely the less than 8 hours of daylight (all of which I am at work) and the super cold winter weather. Now, the daylight is just something I have to deal with, but I will try and counteract the snow and low temps with some serious coats. I got my first parka a few years ago and how I got through -30 degrees without one is absolutely beyond me. But, I’ve realized that most jackets do the trick with a little layering. Here I added the best vest from Costco (yes, you read that right.. Costco) for a little added warmth underneath. I love finding pieces from places that you wouldn’t normally expect a fashion obsessed gal to shop. This vest was under $30 and is so warm, I actually had to take it off in the mall this day because I was too warm.
I recently replaced my extremely well loved black boots with a new pair from Steve Madden as well and I love them. The Chelsea boot is such a versatile style for both casual and formal outfits that I couldn’t pass up the chance to get them as my black boot addition this year! Last year’s black boot purchase were the cutest ones from Winners but were actually Kendall + Kylie, and although so cute, too high to wear as an everyday style.
Are you a frequenter of second hand sites or shops? What have been some of your greatest finds?!
