Here we are, middle of March and it’s still SO cold out. This March is a little different since we’re all *starting* a little social distancing. I’ve seen other bloggers say that they don’t know what to post amid the COVID-19 crisis. For me, I plan to keep up the normal posts, minus the travel related ones I had planned. I mean, those would be pretty useless right now right?
We all know you don’t come to this blog to read about the pandemic, so why talk about it?! Like I say in my About Me page, I hope you gain some outfit inspo and learn a few things to make your life a little easier, Coronavirus not included.
BACK TO JACKETS.
I have quite the coat collection. I mean, how could I not?! With how cold it is for half of the year, looking cute outside while also staying warm is top on the list of fashion priorities.
I originally bought this coat for my trip to Chicago which I very sadly, had to cancel (RIP). So for now, this beauty won’t be gracing your Instagram feed as my friends and I saunter around the city, like we did last year in New York. We’ll have to settle for a few outdoor shots in good ol’ Y-E-G while we wait for all this to be over.
This particular coat has been on my radar for a while. I love that it can be dressed up or down super easily. It’s a little thinner than I was expecting when I first tried it on. That to me is almost a plus though; it means I can layer up underneath for winter or wear it in the spring and fall as an extra layer. Win, win, win! I will say that it does pill really easily. I wore it once and it pilled that day. Not ideal for a $200 jacket. That being said, I feel chic as heck when I wear it and I’m glad I own it. So maybe try and find it secondhand first?
Have you found any coats this year that you’ve been loving?
xx Victoria
