Well that was a whirlwind of a weekend! Long weekends are always so much less productive than I think/hope they’re going to be. It’s unfortunate, but they usually end up being pretty relaxing as well so I guess I can’t complain.
I was in Idaho for my cousin’s wedding most of the weekend, and then my family and I headed over to Lake Louise for a night, which is why the blog has been a bit dry with no new posts. I’ll be getting to the trip photos soon enough to show you all the fun I had on the weekend, but for now I’m sharing this cute look from a few weeks back.
My friend and I had a night off so we decided to head over to Whyte Ave and check out a place we’d never been before. First we stopped at a random place and it turned out to be basically a giant saloon.. Not really our style when we were planning a margarita night! So we headed over to El Cortez and ordered the guacamole (which is amazing by the way).
I had worn this same look to work and it was so cute I thankfully could keep it on for the whole night. I’ve had this tank top in my closet for a while; I bought it at the Aritzia sale 2 years ago. I was never huge into too much color so I think that’s why I strayed so far from it, always sticking to my black and grey tops. But now that I’m starting to wear color a lot more, this shirt is perfect. It’s a gorgeous silk that seems to flow in all the right ways, plus the neckline is one of my favourites! Adding the lace bralette underneath adds a little drama, along with the bright red lips!
I had just picked up these jeans from American Eagle a few days before and they are so comfy! They are the brand new style of jegging, of course sticking to high rise as always (low rise is my nemesis).
I added my fuzzy vest to make the look work appropriate. This vest is seriously the best (last seen here). I had been admiring it for ages before I got it for Christmas and I am so thankful that my mom caught my drift about wanting it. It would have eaten my entire clothing budget for months! (well, not that that budget works to well anyways… LOL)
While my friend and I were walking back to the car after our 2 orders of guac, we saw this amazing mural! I had seen it before but it was so gorgeous and colorful when I went closer. As we were taking pictures, we noticed a whole bunch of people kept coming up to where we were and then walking away. Turns out, we had found a PokeStop! Slightly hilarious to have people constantly coming up to you as you take pictures of yourself!
Hope everyone has a happy hump day!
xx Victoria
