Pattern mixing for the office doesn’t have to be scary. It’s as easy as strips and polka dots! Keep reading for a few tips on how to mix patterns without overdoing it, especially for work.

The easiest thing to start your pattern mixing life: start SMALL!
Small patterns will always be easier to pair because the eye isn’t drawn immediately to a super loud pattern that would come from larger prints. You could do two small prints or one small and one larger. The key is that neither are too overwhelming that the outfit looks distracting from one part, if you will.
In the same sense, when you’re just starting out, small polka dots and stripes are the easiest for matching purposes. They don’t distract, and honestly, go so well together!
These pants are one of my all time favourites. They always look so sleek and don’t wrinkle, which is why they’re always included on my packing guides! I love them so much, I have them in 2 colours: this cream pair and one in navy!
