Going on a business trip and having a hard time figuring out what to pack? I’m here to help! Scroll down for all about packing for a 3 day business trip including easy to recreate outfits.
The number 1 rule I stick to when packing for a business trip is versatility! You want all your pieces to have a similar colour scheme and feel so you can mix and match anything you brought.
Now that definitely doesn’t mean it has to be boring, more like, have a few basics in with your favourite statement pieces!
Packing for a 3 Day Business Trip
1 Suit (trousers and a blazer)
1 pair of trousers or skirt
3 business tops
1 casual sweater
1 pair business casual jeans
1 versatile coat
1 pair of basic coloured heels
1 pair of comfortable flats/oxfords
1 exercise outfit (top & bottoms)
It’s always nice to have an extra top on hand (hence why I included a third business top. You can definitely get away with 2!) I tend to spill or just incase something happens, you always want just a few saves!
Since business conferences are usually pretty much entirely composed of sitting in seminars or meetings, it’s nice to pack an exercise outfit. That way, you can always take a quick walk outside on your breaks, or hit the gym (if you’re really committed!). Plus, they work great as after event, room loungewear. You can probably see where my mind goes when I think about business trips – the after the business part!
How I actually wear the pieces above is below:
Travel Outfit: Jeans, casual sweater, coat, oxfords
Outfit 1: Suit trousers and blazer, 1st business top, coat, oxfords
Outfit 2: Suit blazer, 2nd business top, trousers, coat, oxfords
Outfit 3: Suit pants, 3rd business top, coat, heels
