Happy February people!
Everyone talks about how long January was for them, but for me, it seemed to zoom by! Please tell me I’m not the only one?! It was probably a mix of getting into the last semester of my undergrad (omg!!) and getting pumped to travel to NYC in mid February that made it go by so quick. But now here we are, February 5 and I’m knee deep in midterm season which is always a drag. In any case, it’s one of those things that just has to happen, and every moment I go through it is one more moment closer to gradation! Now, let’s get to the look:
I snagged this pink Melodie jumpsuit from Aritzia last summer in their sale and other than it’s debut appearance on the blog, I haven’t worn it a ton. I did layer it over a basic tee (like this one) for work in the summer (the office wasn’t very formal), and I loved how it looked! But since then, not so much.
So when I was packing for Miami, and I saw it hanging all pretty at the back of my closet, no brainer, I had to take it.
You can check out my other outfits and all the places we went in part 1, 2, and 3 of my family and I’s Miami trip.
I love this jumpsuit because 1. it doesn’t wrinkle 2. it’s the easiest outfit ever and 3. the neckline is one that it looks like it would be “flashable”, but it’s really not. I mean, what more can you ask for in a jumpsuit?! If you’re going to invest in one thing this year for spring/summer or any trips you’re going on, make it be a jumpsuit. They’re the dream when it comes to an easy, chic look!
I know I’ve mentioned it before, but pink is my new color of the year. It started with an amazing pink fur jacket (seen in this post) and the BEST pink striped sweater (from this post), so this is just another notch on my list. I definitely can’t see myself slowing down anytime soon. Especially since on my upcoming trip to NYC, I’m hoping to try on a few Gal Meets Glam Collection pieces and Julia (the founder) is a straight up pink lover too!
We stayed in the Nautulis Hotel while we were in Miami Beach and it was so awesome. The service was great and the location really couldn’t be beat. You’re right on the beach but also have a really nice pool area to relax in (without the ridiculous prices of renting a beach chair!)
Everything was freshly renovated and the aesthetics in this place were A1. I honestly have nothing critical to say about this place, and if I ever go back to Miami Beach, I’ll be booking there for sure!
