Mural walls have been popping up everywhere in and around Edmonton so I wasn’t surprised to find a few down in Calgary. They totally liven up the city and my Instagram feed, so I’m not complaining!
A few weeks ago I went down to Calgary to visit a friend for the weekend and stopped in at some true YYC hotspots like Alforno (best chai lattes!). So day two came and we obviously had to try out O.E.B. which is another quintessential Calgary spot. They just opened their first location in Edmonton and I can’t wait to try it out!
I first got this Camelia Roma bucket bag to get me through my exchange semester with something big enough to fit my camera. I still pretty much wear it every other day and it’s held up pretty well. The shoulder strap fell off once so I had to fix it, but other than that, it remains a fave. When I got it, so many people told me it looked like a lemon bucket LOL, but I didn’t care and now this style has seriously caught on. I found some amazing and cheap dupes down below!
I snagged this top from Oak + Fort which is a Canadian business started in Vancouver! I’m trying (key word: trying), to support more local/Canadian businesses and this is a perfect one! They have such cute pieces (like my pleated pants from this post) and always end up lasting me a really long time! I bought this blouse in medium and I could have gone smaller, but I wanted it as long as possible to go over leggings. It doesn’t wrinkle which might just be my favourite part of the whole shirt!
As per usual, I threw a silk square into the mix because these are my favourite. things. ever. I wear them any and every way imaginable like on my neck, my wrist, my bag… you name it, I’ve worn it that way! They are by far the easiest accessory to have an outfit go from okay to AMAZING. And that’s the kind of change I need in my life! H&M always has some nice ones for cheap in pretty patterns like floral, printed, or just basic with my favourites being from there and Aritzia.
