I was awful on the blog and Instagram last week because school and midterms had seriously been kicking my BUTT! Thankfully, they’re all over and today, I’m sitting on a beach in Miami! I’m taking a little trip down south to feel some warmth while I can. It’s getting chilly up in Edmonton, so it’s pretty obvious that these photos were from a few weeks back. I swear the weather in Alberta is so up and down, the week before last it was sunny and warm, and right now there’s a thick layer of snow. I’m NOT okay with this!

Thankfully, we got to feel fall for a little bit and I took every opportunity to dress so. damn. fall. I love a good burgundy lip and I swear it’s the first thing I change about my makeup when there’s a chill in the air. My lipstick is an old MAC fave that I learned how to perfect at a MAC makeup lesson a few years back. It matches perfectly with my favourite bag and an old AEO bomber that I found in my closet. Isn’t it just the BEST when fashion seems to work out like a freaking charm?!

If you’ve followed the blog for the last little bit, you’ve probably heard me raving about these pants and the suit jacket that goes with them. I am a gal with a LOVE for suits and this set has been on repeat both together, and separately. A suit is so easy to throw on and feel chic in an instant. I will definitely be adding more to my wardrobe. I’m also on the hunt for more statement button pieces which have been a huge trend this year, but are SO cute; such an easy way to add a little interest to a piece! PS. My necklace is an exact dupe for a Celine one and a lady at the mall actually thought it was Celine; plus, it’s under $20 so that’s a straight WIN if you ask me!
