Aritzia Dress | Forever 21 Sandals (old, similar here) | Camelia Roma Bag
Versatility is key my friends, so I’m all about things you can wear just about anywhere. With starting an office job late last year, it was so important for me to build by workwear wardrobe with pieces that would last me for years to come. I have shared a few workwear inspired looks over the past few months, and will definitely keep sharing more in the future. I have found it super hard to find appropriate outfits that don’t look like I pulled them right out of my grandmas closet. So I’ve been on the hunt for pieces that I would not only wear to the office, but also pull out over the weekend!
This dress is the perfect piece if you’re looking for something versatile! I wore it here as a dress which works perfectly because of the longer hemline and the ability to button it up the front to make it work appropriate. I have no doubt in my mind that I’ll be pulling this out for one of Edmonton’s many festivals this summer by wearing it as a kimono with my favourite pair of jeans and a pretty patterned tank top!
Since switching jobs for the summer, I’ve noticed a huge change in the workwear. My old office was definitely more strict in the dress code, while I tend to be on the dressier side of my new office. That’s what I love about good accessories though, you can switch up the outfit so easily by pairing it with simple sandals like I did here, or a bombs ass pair of pumps! There are so many pieces that you may not think are office appropriate, but with the right combination, your workwear wardrobe is probably off to a better start than you think!
