Working in an office environment has really let me put my more dressy items to use. I love the fact that my nicer clothes can get some air time outside of my closet, without the (added) possibility of them getting wrecked (aka my other job).
I definitely love a good monochromatic outfit, but sometimes, (usually because mine are always all black), they can get pretty boring. When I’m feeling like this in the morning, but still want to go for a similar look, I usually wear a top with a sweater or jacket in the same color. It adds depth to an outfit without the consequential boringness of black on black on black 4 days of the week. I think the saddest part for me is that I own enough black to wear solely it for days on end… Oops!
This milkmaid braid hairstyle has become a favourite of mine in the short time I’ve been wearing it, since finding a tutorial on Gal Meets Glam. It perfectly combats my bad hair days by looking polished and put together, even with my annoying cow licks. I’m not one to wear almost any makeup (Hello mascara rubbing against my glasses), but this hairstyle always calls for a little bit of mascara and lipstick. It adds a feminine feel to the (I’d say) somewhat masculine looking hairstyle.
