Aritzia Leather Leggings | Zara Top | American Eagle Sandals (old, identical here) | Aritzia Neckerchief (old, also love this one) | Rebecca Minkoff Bag | Kate Spade Sunglasses
After many requests, I brought back my leather leggings to the blog! I got loads of DMs and comments requesting to see how to style leather leggings for the spring/summer. I showed you a few different looks featuring my leggings before, like here and here, but not often when the weather was on the warmer side. It is a little trickier because leather isn’t very breathable. I would go for a brisk day, or one where you’re not going to be spending lots of time outside.
The key with leather leggings, in my opinion, is wearing a long enough top. For me, that’s to cover the fact that you’ve wrapped a belt around your waist, sans belt loops! My leggings always fall down because my thighs are the largest part, so I have to buy to fit them. The belt helps the slightly too big waist, stay in place.
I was determined to find a way that they wouldn’t look too fall, so I paired them with my go-to summer pieces like my favourite Rebecca Minkoff bag and Aritzia neck scarf! By adding lots of light colours like white and pastels to an otherwise winter piece, you can easily transform it into the perfect addition to your spring wardrobe!
I also whipped out a pair of sandals that I’ve had for years and never worn. Okay, I know, it’s bad.. I have no idea why they stayed hidden for so long. They’re so comfy, and look so cute as an everyday sandal. During my time working at American Eagle, I accumulated a bunch of pairs of AE shoes and I’m so excited to bring them out this year. I’m determined to wear every warm weather piece I have this summer, and if I don’t wear it, it’s going in the donate pile during my next closet clean out!
