If you’ve been following along on my Instagram for a while, you know that I adore a good matching set, so when I happened to notice this scarf in my mom’s closet while I was wearing a plaid that looked just like it.. you know I had to wear them together: double plaid! Matching has recently become my new favourite thing. I have seen a lot of it around lately (most notably on my fave fashion blogger Tamryn), and any time I see someone else matching their pants off it makes me love it a little bit more!
These jeans have quickly become a closet staple because I’m starting to opt for more non-skinny jeans. There are so many cute pairs out there like this straight pair, this wide pair, and this flare pair, that everyone can find a pair that they like. When I posted about my jean culottes last summer, some people seemed a little unsure of the recent trend towards wider denim. It seems to be catching on though and I am so glad because wide leg jeans and trousers were easily my favourite trend of 2017, that I’d be devastated to see them go this year (even though I would’t let mine go anyways!).
The other day, we had a huge dump of snow.. again and I’m starting to really get sick of all the cold. A long winter takes a lot out of me, as I know it does a lot of other people as well. I always lack the motivation to get outside and shoot outfits when I have to wear my huge puffer jacket every day because it’s -20 outside. So I’m hoping the snow leaves us pretty quick and I can whip out all my favourite spring pieces very soon!
