Copenhagen truly has enriched my understanding of how different things are around the world. I have never been in a place where there are so many people from different places. It allows for such varying points of view on different topics. In my dorm, there’s a ton of different nationalities: Spanish, Australian, American, Irish, Swiss, English, the list goes on! With all the things going on in the world, it’s so interesting to get other peoples opinions!
Being that there’s not a ton of other people in my dorm from Canada (there’s 2), it’s hilarious to see people’s reactions when I tell them about the weather in Edmonton. Edmonton is the most northern major city in North America, aka, there are more northern cities, but none that are as large. When people ask if it’s really as cold as they’ve heard, I obviously have to say YES! The week before I left, it was -46 degrees celsius. I think this helps my case though because it’s usually not that cold. Either way, the people here are for the most part traumatized when they hear this.
This day in Edmonton, my friend Komal from Lady Skyline and I went out to shoot some new looks. This was our first and last one that day! The temperatures were dipping below -25 degrees celsius, and that’s at the point where it’s just not worth it. I mean, I’m all for doing it #fortheblog or #forthegram, but even that was a little too extreme for my Canadian blood!
I had been coveting this pair of Aritzia joggers for years but they were always way more than I was willing to spend. When I finally decided to try them on, I was so disappointed to see that they looked awful on me. I feel like that is always soul crushing; great for the wallet but terrible for the heart. I had loved them for too long to just give up though, so when I saw an almost identical pair at Garage for under half the price, I decided to try them on anyways. Lucky me, they fit me 1000x better than the Aritzia ones ever did, and I wouldn’t break the bank taking them home!
This was also my very first time wearing my Adidas sneakers for a photoshoot; I can guarantee that they are not this white anymore. But they have had some love and have turned into one of my favourite pairs of shoes: classic and comfortable.

This particular day it was so cold that we got such beautiful frost! Aritzia is one of my favourite shops, although I am really starting to try and expand the diversity in my closet. It has some great pieces though, I would definitely check it out!
