Gap Cable Knit Sweater (on sale!) | Aritzia Pants | Aldo Booties (old) | Marc by Marc Jacobs Bag (old, similar here) | MAC Lipstick in Ruby Woo | Tayroc Watch (sold out, similar here)
A good cable knit sweater is a wardrobe staple. I’ve been searching for the perfect one for what seems like forever. They were all way out of my price range. On Black Friday, my boyfriend and I hit the mall after I got off work to see if there were any deals worth our time. Enter: Gap.
I am the first to admit that although I have seen a few pieces here and there at the Gap, I rarely go in and actually buy something. But on Black Friday, their whole store was 50% off. Now that’s something I can get behind! I immediately went to the sweater table. Because of my upcoming exchange where I won’t be working, I’m trying to limit my purchases to things that have been on my wishlist for ages, or I need for my time abroad (some of the things on my list are Hunters, a new bag, sweaters, etc).
To the sweater table I went! I saw the cream one right away but they only had large sizes. In my hunt to not buy only black, white, and grey, I opted to try the red cable knit. I am so glad I did! I don’t have a ton of red in my wardrobe other than this red tank, but I love how it looks with a bright red lip!
This sweater is true to size (I’m wearing a small), but I do tuck the bottom part in so it’s a little more cropped. I wore it to a case competiton for my club at school which is a business casual event. With my favourite pair of Aritzia dress pants and a bold red lip, it turned out to be the perfect look for cool weather.
I was so obsessed with it, I wore the sweater for 3 days straight (I’m a serial outfit repeater)! On Cyber Monday, I knew I needed the cream version so I went online and was able to pick it up for 40% off, plus Gapcash! Looks like I may need to pick up a few more Gap sweaters!
Have you found a favourite cable knit?
