I will admit that for a longest time in school I was not a skirt fan. A huge part of it was at that time I thought the shorter the better. That lead to some less than fantastic moments of too bent over or a nice little gust would show a little too much. Now, I stick to a rather firm rule of below my finger tips. Turns out school dress codes weren’t as stupid as I thought (to a point, I mean no collar bone showing.. really??).

More recently, I have been on a skirt binge. They are so versatile and, if they fit right, there is very little room for malfunction. This pleated blush skirt from ASOS was somewhat of an impulse buy. It was on sale and I didn’t want to pass it up, even though I maybe should have ha! Blush has been a huge trend this year and I love it. On my pale skin, it can wash me out pretty easily, but I find wearing it on the bottom eliminates that factor.

I paired my pleated mini with all black yet again. It instantly makes a summery piece fall. That’s what I love about fashion, the ability to change the clothes and to some extent, yourself with it.

This black denim jacket has been sitting in my closet without any wear for a while. It was, like the skirt, slightly an impulse buy (that happens way too much for me). That being said though, it’s a very versatile piece that can be worn a number of ways. I also have it in blue denim and I wear it with everything! My jacket collection needed some love before this season started, so I’m happy I was able to somewhat accidentally add versatility without even having that intention.
