Shopping is probably one of my favourite past times. I definitely go too often, that’s a given. I have very specific requirements for shopping that have developed over the years. When I go shopping and I don’t feel like I look very good, I also find that I have a terrible day shopping. So more recently, I have started to dress my best when I head to the mall. It also doesn’t help my case that the associates at some of the more high end stores won’t even glance your way if you’re in your lazy day leggings.
On this particular shopping day, I took full advantage of the fall like weather. The fact that it’s November and the snow hasn’t returned is a miracle. I have put away my heavy coats indefinitely and don’t plan on taking them out again until the snow is piling up above my ankles.
Vests have become a new favourite of mine. I was forever avoiding them because I am always freezing, and I couldn’t imagine how having bare arms would help me combat that. Now I know that as long as I wear a sweater underneath, they are the best! And if that means I have to up my sweater game.. so be it 😉 This Aritzia vest is my favourite one in my collection. It’s so soft and seems to go with everything!
I went with a black and nude look because I love the way the light and the dark compliment each other. These joggers were a staple in my summer wardrobe, but the colder weather has pushed them farther down on my wearing list. Luckily, you can make anything “fall” with a little black. And that’s exactly what I did. Adding an old black sweater, my favourite fuzzy vest from Wilfred, and black booties took these summer pants straight into the colder weather.
Of course I had to pull out my gorgeous MbMJ bag for a day of shopping and popped on my DUVAL choker to finish off my black details.
How do you move your summer pieces into fall looks?
