Day 3: Button Up Skirt and Turtleneck

Day 3 is here and I’m almost sad this week is over. I loved showing different ways to wear this button up skirt. After all, I think everything in your closet should be versatile (for the most part). I am the first to admit I have a few items that have made it off of their hanger only once or twice, but I still refuse to give them up. Those are the ones that you just had to have, and will probably sit in your closet for months or years before you work up the courage to put them in the donate pile. This skirt, as you have seen, is not one of those items. It was perfect for my summer wardrobe, now fall, and I know it will be taken into winter as well. Watch out world, we’ve got a good one here!

For my last look of the week with my button up skirt (you can see the first two here and here), I decided to go with a turtleneck. The crisp weather is definitely coming out in full force here in Edmonton, and I have to be ready. This turtleneck (last seen here), is one of my favourites. It’s thick and warm, letting me wear it without a jacket until the snow falls. Plus, I added my favourite Aritzia scarf for some extra warmth. This scarf has been my number one since I received it for Christmas from a friend 5 years ago. Yeup, I have been wearing the same scarf on a pretty much daily basis since the eleventh grade.. Oops!

This skirt will pair perfectly with tights when the wind turns a little bit colder, but for now, I am going to take as many bare legged days as I can possibly fit in! My Aldo booties are yet again featured. I am going to have to upgrade these bad boys pretty soon. They are starting to show the wear and tear of being my go-to fancy booties.

On this day in particular, my friend and I went to take some outfit pictures and stopped at Remedy to fuel up. If you live in Edmonton and have never been, go! Their hummus and pita is to die for! I could eat it on the daily.
