Day 2 is here! The second look featuring my button up skirt in my 3 ways to wear week! Today, I am showing a much more relaxed and laid back way to wear this suede beauty. The first look (seen here), was slightly more formal; I paired the skirt with a button up shirt and black booties. Although I loved the look, those booties are the kind you change into when you’re close to your destination, not the type you sightsee in!
Today’s look is the perfect outfit to travel with or have an adventure in.
All the pieces are very versatile and comfortable enough to wear all day long! Again, this black suede American Eagle button up skirt (that’s a mouthful) is the answer to all my button up dreams. The skirts are everywhere, and of course I had to jump on board with the trend. I have been loving scalloped hem. It adds such a fun and unexpected element to an otherwise less exciting piece (you can see my other scalloped hem purchase here).
A basic tank top was perfect for under my plaid. I don’t know about you, but red plaid has been and (I know) will continue to be a huge go-to. I love that you can dress it up (like in this jacket or scarf form) or down (with a flannel). This button up has been in my closet for years, yes YEARS. It continually comes to all my camping trips, football games, and outdoor activities because it is perfect for layering.
To reiterate the comfort of the look, I added Converse and a little backpack. Converse are another one of my go-to travel pieces because they go with everything, and I have no problem spending hours in them. This cute backpack was a thrift store find and although I don’t use it as much as I could, I love the freedom it gives you to have your hands free. It’s small enough to not hurt your back from wearing it, but big enough that everything I need, plus a few snacks 😉 (Can you tell where my priorities are??)
