For so long I 100% complied with the rule of no white after labour day. I mean, I never took that to include white shirts or a nice cream sweater, but overall, it was a rule I stayed behind. White jeans were not always my favourite. They really do leave little to the imagination and for me, that was less than optimal.
Gal Meets Glam had a post on the white jeans she wears from Old Navy, and it inspired me to go try them on. I was shocked with not only how comfy they were, but also how well they fit me (jeans are notorious for being my worst thing to shop for). I wore the jeans all throughout the summer, and after September hit, I knew I wasn’t about to put them away just because Labour Day had passed.
For the past month I have been collaborating with American Eagle to bring you some holiday and cold weather inspired looks from their new line. I got so many great pieces and was especially excited to receive my favourite pair of black jeans and a few other goodies as well! My jean collection is getting a little out of hand, but because I wear them so much, I’ve decided to just make more room in my closet to accommodate.. Oops!
Neutrals are and forever will be my favourite pieces in my closet. They are so versatile and flattering that it’s hard to convince myself to wear anything but. I went with all neutrals and a pop of red in my lipstick for this American Eagle sweater. A nude coloured sweater had been on my wishlist for a while (if you notice, I have A LOT on my wishlist). I was worried the nude would wash me out, but after receiving this piece from AE, I loved the way it looked on when paired with white. I can’t wait to layer it over some plaid to keep me warm in Copenhagen!
