I can honestly say that I think sweater weather is the best weather. That glorious time of year when its too cold for tank tops, but not cold enough that you have to bring a jacket with you wherever you go. Here in Edmonton, we got snow really early this year. So sadly, my parka was out a lot earlier than I would have liked. That snow has since melted and now we are graced with fall again, although temperatures are still slightly cooler than I like.
This particular day was pretty cold. But my friend and I braved the chill to snap some pictures of a look I was loving! We stopped down by Whyte Avenue because of all the neat places they have. I love searching for new, interesting places to take blog photos because I think they can look amazing when the backgrounds are interesting. We ended up stopping by a building with red windowsills. They matches my lipstick perfectly so I was pumped!
I bought this sweater in my final weeks working at American Eagle. It was in the women’s section in the back room and I was loving the black detailing. It fit a little weird but I brushed it off because I liked it a lot. Later, I went back into the store and found the sweater on the mens side… Oops! I was wondering why an XS fit so big! To be honest, it doesn’t bother me at all. Sometimes, the men’s section has some awesome stuff.
The jean jacket and black jeans are other AE finds. I’ve had both in my closet for a long time and they seriously go with everything. Staples are so important in a wardrobe because a statement piece can be added so easily. Some might not agree, but this hat is becoming a staple in my wardrobe. It perfectly covers my bad hair days and I love that it can be worn in the winter, without it being a toque. Those literally make my hair go from bad to worse the minute I put one on.
