Working downtown is such a treat because there’s always new places to see and you’re right in the action! I can’t wait to move downtown (hopefully next year!), and be in the action all the time! Edmonton’s downtown area is so pretty because it’s surrounded by river valley, and the city has been trying really hard to revitalize the area. It used to be a literal DUMP, but now it’s drawn a huge culinary scene and with all the festivals that happen, there’s always something to do.
I love dressing for work in the spring because it’s warm enough to get away with all my capri trousers while still wearing long sleeve tops. I’m super lucky that my workplace allows open toe shoes, because the last place I worked didn’t. I’ve been finding some super cute pairs that are also super affordable. I’m not one to spend a ton on sandals because I live in a city that they can only be worn for about 5 months of the year, if that! My favourite place to shop for sandals is Forever 21 (where this frequently worn pair is from), and I’ve found them to last well, which is always a bonus!
As I’ve mentioned before, Aritzia is my favourite place to shop for trousers. As a gal who struggles to find pants that fit because of my thick thighs, once I found how well the pairs from Aritzia fit, I haven’t even tried to diversify! I have the Jallade pair in multiple colours like blue, black and cashew, but this pair is my oldest favourite. I wore them last summer with my favourite warm weather print, and they continue to be a staple.
Matt & Nat have some of the cutest bags in the game, plus they recycle bottles to make the inside liner of their bags. Now that’s something I can get behind! I bought this particular bag for work because I always haul a ton of stuff to and from the office. I couldn’t find a bag that would fit everything, so when I stumbled on this bag I was so excited. It’s actually a diaper bag (LOL) that I shared here for the first time, and now I have a pocket for everything!
