Thrifted Neck Scarf | Zara Trench Coat (sold out, similar) | Danier Sweater (old) | Wilfred Dress Joggers | Aldo Booties (old, similar) | Tayroc Watch | Marc by Marc Jacobs Bag (old, also love this one)
Don’t ask me why it’s called a neck scarf when all scarves go around your neck, because I won’t be able to tell you. What I do know, is that I love them. Versatility is one of the main things I look for when I shop. I don’t always stick with it, but I try and buy things that I know can be worn multiple ways. That way I get the most bang for my buck. It also helps that my little neck scarf collection comes solely from Value Village. In store, these little scarves are so expensive. There are some gorgeous ones that I feel like I need, but until I start wearing them more often and I know the trend is staying a while, I’ll hold off. So far, my collection consists of 2 scarves that cost me a combined total of $4.50. Now that’s something I can get behind!
There are so many ways to wear these scarves. Here I opted for a little flight attendant feel and wrapped it around my neck. The tie in the front gives a little extra drama to the plain black sweater I paired it with. You could also tie it backwards to hide the bow which I prefer with a more interesting top.
My second favourite way to wear this style of scarf is tying it around the handle of my bags. It can add a cute but subtle pop of color to any look.
Because I wanted the scarf to be the center of attention, I kept the rest of the look very understated, a neutral trench and then all black with these Aritzia joggers. I honestly can’t believe they haven’t been featured on the blog before with how much I wear them! They are definitely my go-to for business events.
Do you like the neck scarf trend?

I thought it looked silly on me as well, but if you find the right one and play around with the way you tie it, I’m sure it would look great!
