Fall is that season where you blink and it’s gone. Especially in a city that gets winters from HELL, I tend to love to hate fall. I love fall because you get to pull out all your super cute fall jackets like a few old faves I’ve shown here and here, but then you’re just that much closer to winter when all your cute outfits are switched for the warmest boots and parka you can find. I’m telling you, as a gal that loves me some cute outfits, winter is not the place for it. I always tend to go through a blogging rut in the winter too because it’s so dreary and cold. So cold that no one wants to go outside with you to take some fly photos because their hand might fall off from hypothermia. I mean, I get it, but still, it doesn’t make me a happy camper.
BUT, while fall is here (it might even be gone already FML!) you bet your ass I’m going to enjoy every single moment of it in the cutest outfits I can come up with. Since starting work full time last year (I’m back in school now for my final semester WOOT WOOT), I’ve been incorporating more and more workwear pieces into my everyday outfit game. I just find I feel so much cuter when I feel a tad put together. It’s like that saying that you should always leave your house ready to meet your worst enemy. Now that’s a little extreme because there are always times that a pair of leggings (these ones from Victoria’s Secret are my fave!) and a hoodie at the grocery store will just have to do, but when I am trying, I now tend to gravitate towards nicer fabrics in better cuts (this is probably my favourite go-to outfit!).
Jeans are 100% my nemesis. I share a lot about my struggles to find a good fitting pair of jeans on my Instagram stories, so if you’re in the same thick thigh boat, definitely hop onto that. The recent shift towards jeans that aren’t skin tight is ANOTHER love to hate moment. I love the look of all these cute jeans on everyone else, but then I try them on and it’s like I just found yet another terrible fitting skinny. My issue is that these straight, flare or cropped flare look amazing on girls who fit the regular mould of jeans. I, definitely do not. But these wide leg denim are amazing because they fit me too! I opted for Topshop which I loveee and have shown a few other times on the blog like here and here. I’m still on the hunt for a few more pairs so if you have any suggestions, leave them down below!
xx Victoria
