My first official post with my new hair! Last year for my cousin’s wedding, I chopped my hair into a long bob. Ever since, I have been completely hooked! I love the ease of styling and how healthy it feels. I have a lot of hair, but it’s super fine. In that sense, I always find that when it gets too long, it looks stringy and gross. Now, I will admit that a lot of that is 100% my own fault. I am the worst with haircare.. AKA I don’t do anything in the name of caring for my hair. No heat protectant, no special shampoo for my coloured bob, nothing. After I chopped it again, I promised myself that I needed to be better about it, and since, I have taken steps, although small, to take better care of my precious lob.
Having a fashion blog can be very expensive. You see all these amazing bloggers who have a new Chanel bag every time they post. I would be lying if I said that wasn’t one of my dreams ha! But for now, I have to work with my wardrobe and a budget I can actually afford. That being said, I don’t pretend like I don’t have a lot of clothes. I do, trust me. People at school ask how I can afford to shop online as much as I do. The truthful answer is that’s all I do. Some people will pay to go to concerts or eat a giant steak out. Me, I buy a new top when I get my paycheques.
So on to my point, I try very hard to find new ways to work pieces I already own. I will not be the type to show you a new thing and the exact link every post, but hopefully some inspiration on different ways to work what is already in your closet (or my closet really). Some day, maybe I will be able to strut in a new pair of Loubs twice a year, but now, I’m showing you how to wear this sweater another way.
This scalloped hem sweater is probably one of my favourites from Aritzia. The colour is the perfect muted grey and the scalloped hem gives it a little extra detail. Plus my blondish/whitish long bob really works with it. At least, that’s what I’m going with! I paired my cropped sweater with a jumper also from Aritzia (jumper = romper with pants instead of shorts[in my mind ha]). This baby has been in my closet for a long time, and it is honestly one of my favourite pieces. You can wear it in the summer to parties and barbecues or to more formal events because it makes you feel like a million bucks but yet it’s so comfortable.
By layering the two, I was able to create a fall outfit with another one of my summer pieces. Being able to work with pieces you already have is such an advantage. I really think that is a huge part of fashion. I don’t really consider someone fashionable if all they do is wear exactly what they see other people wearing. There is always room for inspiration, but continual copying doesn’t make you a fashionista.
Are you good with caring for your hair? If so, what are some of your favourite products? Thanks for stopping by!

I think your new hair style really suits you! Long Bobs are always great! I used to have that hair style a long time ago and I was recently thinking of going back to it! Love that sweater you’re wearing as well! Looks super comfy!
