Fashion in the Fall

When I say fall doesn’t last long in Edmonton, I mean it. It snowed before the first official day, and I have no doubt in my mind that winter will be here sooner rather than later. But, while fall is here, we have to take advantage. And that means coats with exposed ankles every day! This may seem like a super mundane thing to love, I mean, who really craves a day to show some ankle?! Me. When winter arrives in Edmonton, my ankles go into hibernation. They’re covered in boots for the entirety of the season because let’s face it, Edmonton gets cold af.

I was lucky enough to attend Western Canada Fashion Week with my friend last week and I loved getting all dressed up for the show. As I’ve mentioned before, living in Copenhagen made me adore trousers. They look so polished while being so comfy! I picked up this gorgeous pair from Aritizia on sale in the summer and they have quickly turned into my favourite pair. They do run quite tight (I usually wear a 6 and I’m wearing a 10 here) so I would suggest sizing up one or two sizes depending on how you like your pants to fit.

My fur coat from Zara has made its way back out as the temperatures drop and it remains a fave of mine. The black isn’t available online but it does come in pink which I think I need too, but if you’re looking for other textured options I found a few here, here, and here.

I pulled out my favourite loafers to make sure I was comfortable walking to the show. Everyone needs a pair of loafers in their lives and I shared why over here. I start my new office job next week and I know they will be getting a ton of use!

I’ve been trying to make my life more environmentally friendly through donating, reducing consumption, and choosing natural products where ever I can. I’ve been using these products for about 3 weeks now and my hair is shinier, softer and feels overall healthier than it did with my previous products. I have even noticed that my hair stays looking fresh for longer in between washes which is such a bonus!
