Cult Gaia Bamboo Bag | Aritzia Vest via Kijiji (old, this years’ here) | Forever 21 Sweater (old) | American Eagle Jeans c/o | Kendall & Kylie Boots via Winners | MAC Lipstick in Sin | Tayroc Watch
The minute I saw this bamboo bag I knew I needed it in my life. It may be slightly “blogger chic” because it seems like all the big bloggers have it… but no one else! I mean, it is slightly impractical, especially in the Edmonton winters that we go through. But, I know it would look so good on my not yet happening tropical vacation. Maybe one day… Until then though, I’ll bring it to Copenhagen as a conversation starter!
This post should really be called “My New Purchases” because my vest, bag, and shoes are all new (the shoes have been seen once before). I know, I know, I shop too much, but in my defence, I got the bag 10% off (you can too if you sign up for emails!), the boots were at Winners and $150 off the regular price, and I got the vest off of Kijiji, with the tags still attached and $125 off retail price. So maybe this post should really be called “Look How Good of a Shopper I Am.” I think that’s more appropriate!
If you haven’t heard of Kijiji (it’s a Canadian thing) it’s pretty much a site to buy and sell things. So for instance, I had a pair of expensive jeans that didn’t fit so I sold them for half the retail price. I was lucky enough to find this vest on the site in my size, with the tags still attached, and for only $50! That’s down from $175!! If you know anything about Aritzia, it’s that nothing ever goes on sale. And on the slight chance that it does, it’s usually down a whopping $5… max. So my excitement to find something that I liked for that kind of deal, I was pretty pumped. I am always down for a good deal. This vest is a personal favourite, I have the newer version in black as well!
Finally, onto my last newest purchase: the booties. A new Homesense/Winners was built a few minutes from my house, and because I was bored I headed down to check it out (I cannot believe how boring having nothing to do is, aka my Christmas break). I tried hard to stop myself from buying anything, but considering how tired my black booties are looking lately, I decided that buying a new pair wasn’t the worst thing I could spend my money on. These Kendall & Kylie beauties were on for $150 off normal retail and I was too in love with the pointed toe and cool almost wedge like heel to pass them up!
Have you scored any great new pieces recently?!
