Topshop Cable Knit | American Eagle Dress | Samsoe + Samsoe Belt (similar) | Cult Gaia Bag | Hunter Boots
A good wardrobe has gorgeous pieces, but a great wardrobe has gorgeous pieces that are versatile. It might sound like a cliche, but think about how many more amazing outfits you can make when you have pieces that go together a million ways! I love basic pieces that get you through the season in so many looks, exactly like this cable knit and this little slip dress. Day 2 of my 3 ways to wear series is live and you can check out my first look that has the cutest neckerchief in the game.
I love finding ways to transition my summer pieces into colder weather; it really expands the use of clothes already in your closet. I did it last year in this post and here I am again making use of things I already own. I wore this American Eagle dress with yet another neckerchief on Canada Day when it was sunny and warm and here we are 3.5 months later and 20 degrees cooler in the same dress; all it needed was a little bit of layering!
I added my Cult Gaia ark bag and Hunter boots to make this look a little more fall for my liking. The boots are the perfect thing to take the chill out of the air when you have bare legs in the fall. They make more of a fashion statement than I even thought they would when I bought them last year, but they came with me to Copenhagen and now I can’t wait to bring them into winter with me this year!
What are your favourite ways to transition pieces into fall?
